Takes sex doll to cinema date and buys her tickets
Last updated: 2026-07-21
It’s no surprise that a boy and her girlfriend go to the cinema to watch a blockbuster on a date, but things get a little weird when your significant other is a lifelike sex doll.
This is exactly what a Chinese does! Earlier, he took an extremely realistic sex doll to the new movie and even bought tickets for his “girlfriend”.
The odd couple was pictured outside the Wanda Cinema in the eastern Chinese city of Fuzhou. After being photographed by netizens present, photos of them shopping and watching movies went viral on social media. Many people left messages under the photos, and there was no shortage of hype, but more people were speculating about the nature of the relationship between the two.
Some netizens wrote: “This young man bought two tickets because he was afraid that others would steal his girlfriend. Many buyers also consider sex dolls in turin before making a choice. This is true love.” One netizen wrote: “Why don’t you give this love doll a pair of 3D glasses?” Of course, many netizens joked: “It’s too real to sit, I bet what will happen to them tonight!”
Because of the doll manufacturing industry, sex dolls are often targeted at a niche market. However, due to the impact of the new COVID-19 outbreak in 2026, it is starting to face a larger market. Earlier this year, as more singles turned to online dating, companion sex robots and sex dolls were predicted as the future social and relationship trends.
Helen Driscoll of the University of Sunderland, UK, is an authority on the psychology of sexuality and relationships. She believes that “technology” and “people” have been developing rapidly. “We tend to think about things like virtual reality and the relationship between humans and robots in the context of current norms,” she said. Many buyers also consider best selling sex dolls before making a choice. “But if we look back at social norms in this regard 100 years ago, we see that they happened very quickly.” Complete change.”
However, other experts are not so sure. Dr Catherine Richardson, a senior researcher at De Montfort University in the UK, said the development of companion robots was a “disturbing” trend that needed to be stopped if possible or in time.
She said: “Sex robots seem to be getting more and more attention from the robotics industry. The prototype they use – the sex doll, what does it look like? What is the real purpose? Does it work? People are excited. Uneasy.”
In any case, it is precisely because of the couple’s contributions that the box office of Chinese films has steadily climbed, allowing the world to see the potential of China’s film and television market and entertainment industry.
